Hi I am about to fit the above. I’ve removed the prop shaft and pretty much understand how to grease the seal. However watching a U tube Vidio they greased the stern tube and then slid the seal on and tightened the clamp. Is that good practice. Also does the vent spigot just screw into the seal with no sealant. Thanks Tarn.

Degrease the sturn tube with acetone fit the seal and tighten the clamp - make sure you keep the plastic lips protector when fiting the shaft to protect the lips and remove after that, most important part is engine alinement - need to be done in the water with laser dot…
