Hi
I have purchased the Harken Powered Radial Winch Conversion Kit (40.2 ST E/HY)
I am going to convert the manual winch on the Port Side Coachroof of my DS41 (2010 Model)
(This is the Winch that can be upgraded to electric as a factory option)
I have the installation manual and it looks fairly straightforward
The one item that isn't really explained is how best to run the electric cables
I believe I have to run two positives and one negative of substantial thickness and was looking for advice from anyone who had undertook this job and in particularly how and where they ran the electric cables
Many thanks

There was a thread about the port side electric winch on a 42DS. jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/9421/electric-winch-motor-red-workingI think picture show the dual function control box mounted close to the winch. It might be worth sending earnric a message in case he remembers how the cables are run on a 42DS. I imagine the 41DS might be quite similar. I have looked at my electric winch but it was a few years ago. I don't know if there's enough room in the channel in the corner down to the engine compartment where other wires run back to the batteries.
