Hi
Boat out of the water for the first time and have been considering engine setup as when planning I had noticed the cavition plate still appeared to be below the water somewhat. My engines are set for height on the second mounting hole (down from the top). I believe this is Yamaha's recommended position? The cavitation plates are little way below the bottom of hull (1") in this position which I'm questioning if it is too low? Also the engines are mounted with about 1/2" toe out, where I was expecting about 1/2" toe in? i recognize this can be a bit of 'trial and error' and there are compromise in setups for top speed vs grip, but I wondered if anyone had experimented, had different set ups, or any advice. Any thoughts much appreciated.
