I’ve been looking for new seals for the top loading fridge and freezer for my 2014 SO469 without any luck. Tried various online sources and local service guy. I can’t find the model numbers of the units, which would probably help. Thanks. Paul

Paul: Do a search for the post —Freezer door in SO 42DS refrigerator—. I ordered the foam and installed it on my 45DS top freezer door and have no more problems with frost. I did have to remove the old grey factory seal to get a tight seal. good luck, AZMike

Thank you for your reply. It sounds like the best option is to try for a Jeanneau replacement part. Then it makes sense to photo and measure the profile and see if they are generally available from another source. The domestic website shows a number of gaskets but requires device model number. I’m making do for now with weatherstrip seals on the surface that the lid closes on. But I suspect the proper seals will work better. Currently in the humid Bahamas I need to defrost about every 8 weeks so it’s tolerable.

As an interim measure, try a closed cell foam outdoor sleeping mat cut to cover the entire countertop area of the fridge. It is non slip and waterproof; a good surface for placing freshly washed dishes. It's insulating properties are good, covers all lid perimeter gaps and we now use it as a permanent fixture in the galley. It's low cost, little work and worth a try.

Paul I know I'm late to the party on this, but I just ordered new top & front door seals for the VitroFrigo fridge/freezer. We have model # JN190. Vitrifrigo told me this part will fit these models: BN180/JN190/BN160, and the Part # R117013 GASKET is the same for the top and the front, which seems surprising - I go to the boat at the end of March to see if it fits. You have to order from a dealer, I think there's a list on their website.

However, as I suspected the front one was not the same at all. I have a (so far unanswered) email out to Vitrifrigo asking for the correct number.
