Hello,
Has anyone installed an inner forestay on a 479, or 469? Does Jeanneau make a kit perhaps?
Thanks for any info, Doug

I don’t know if it was a standard option. What I do know is that the mast of our 39i Performance had the fitting as standard to fit an inner forestay. More information can be found here: jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/8870/cutter-solent-rig-on-39ipSo I guess it can be done by most boats but I would highly recommend to use the expertise of a professional rigger.

Jeanneau had an inner forestay as a factory option and the fittings are in the mast for it. You can go to the spare parts website and find most of the hardware for it in the options area. Essentially, the chainplate attaches to the bulkhead between the sail locker and the forward cabin. My sense is that it is doable but you will need to go through the deck of course.

Just installed one on a 53. The mast already had the correct rigging. So we just had to install the deck plate and support bracket underneath. Both ordered from Jeanneau. On mine the support bracket is just an L shaped bracket that gets thru bolted from the top of the deck and then secured to the wall that separates the sail locker and the chain locker. Very easy to install
