Good morning everybody. My wife & I just purchased a 2017 419, currently named Weather or Knot, which we will be changing to Beam Reach State of Mind. The boat is in Annapolis, MD; next spring we'll be moving it to Raritan Yacht Club, Perth Amboy, NJ.
I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone here and exchanging information. In the beginning I know I'll be getting more than I give, but I hope that I'll be able to contribute as times goes on.

Congratulations we have owned our 409 nine years, they are great boats. I think the interior is a better layout than the current models.

Hi Graham, We have a 2018 SO419 and are originally from your neck of the woods....Oakhurst NJ. Moved to Charleston in 2013 and have our boat here in Charleston.
Feel free to reach out if you have questions. We have been through quite a bit with ours in the last two years, so we have learned a lot.
Good luck.

Thanks for the message and my apologies for the delay in replying - I was in Croatia sailing (on a Sunsail charter boat). It's a lovely place, I highly recommend it for both sail and land trips.
We were even closer neighbors than it appears - I lived in Wanamassa, then West Allenhurst, from 1976 till 2011. I now live in Red Bank. It's a small world.
Heading down to Annapolis on Wednesday to finally take possession of the boat. We're going to keep it in Rock Hall and sail the Chesapeake through haulout at the end of October, then again in the spring before bringing it up to NJ. Having the mast taken down over the winter to check everything out and to have a radome installed.
I'm sure I'll be posting questions as I get to know the boat. Glad to hear you're enjoying yours.
