Has anyone replaced the 10 micron fuel filter assembly with another and, if so, which assembly and how hard was it to switch? The Yamaha 90794-46871 is not reasonably priced or available in the US. Or perhaps someone knows of a source for a replacement at a reasonable cost?

Thanks. I have used them as a source for other maintenance items, but they don't carry the European filter. I might consider replacing the filter assembly with the one that uses the standard US water separating filters that are less than $20 each.

I just completed my 20 hr break-in service. The maintenance kit I ordered from PartsVu included the 2 (standard) fuel filters which I couldn’t use and sold on eBay. Like you, I have now come to learn that finding the installed filters to be nearly impossible in the US. PartsVu does have the filter heads in both aluminum and SS—I may replace my installed setup with those, although I do like the clear inspection bowl on the OEM ones.

I have Racor S3227´s and I am replacing the whole assemblies because I have started reading posts where people have experienced the bottom see through bowl dropping off supposedly due to ethanol in E10. I have gone for Sierra International stainless brackets with closed type filters without bowls. Last thing on earth I need is fuel going to the bilge and engines stopping, specially in bad weather. Metal Racor bowls are available but now I just don´t trust them and prefer for a complete change of manufacturer and closed filter type.
