I ordered a new Merry Fisher almost 11 month ago in the UK and was initially given a delivery date of spring this year, but that changed and I still don't have a delivery date for it from the dealer as I'm told that the delay is due to Jeanneau struggling to get parts to make their boats.
Is anyone else in the same position or have any info as to timescales?

My MF 795 came as per schedule (I ordered in December and boat came in May) but I waited one month to get the engine. Considering the global issues in engine stocks I found it acceptable.
I know bigger MF’s can take longer to deliver.

Mine is also the 795 series 2. I am in the UK so that might add to the delay slightly, but that still seems odd that there is such a long delay for mine.
I think I will email Jeanneau directly and ask why mine is so delayed as the dealer imformed me that Jeanneau hasn't given them a delivery date yet?

It is very interesting. I live in Turkey and probably we do get from the same factory. Your local dealer should provide some answers. For example, I was asking every few weeks starting by March if the production has started and they could check with the factory and tell me the status. My boat’s production started in April but as Jeanneau produces around 700-800 units of 795 every year, I guesa it takes a week or so to complete the production and empty the space for the next batch.
The dealer can contact the factory and learn the main reason of the delay. It may be due to options supplied externally.

Thanks for your replies much appreciated. The dealer is saying that Jeanneau still hasn't given them a date which does seem a little odd, so it will be interesting to hear what Jeanneau tell me when I email them. I had ordered the boat to have and to use for this summer season, but it looks likely that won't happen What's your opinion of the 795 series 2, and are you happy with the build quality and have you had any issues with it?

I hope you get your boat before the summer ends.
I’m happy with the boat. There are small things that could be better but in general it’s quite satisfactory. The quality is very good.
My engine is Mercury Verado V8 250hp and it performans very well. While I was ordering, I didn’t know it comes with Electro-hydraulic power steering. It makes steering very easy but the device box consumes 1/3 of the small floor storage in the cockpit.
I also have factory installed Garmin Echomap 92 SV unit. In general it is good but its default map is not reliable in my area. It shows some sea area as land (starting from the marina). I think the map is shifted a bit to the south. The dealer advised me to buy a Garmin map card but it is $500 and not sure will solve the issues. Instead, I use Navionics in mobile for navigation and Garmin as fish finder and to see speed, depth, battery voltage etc.
Bowtruster is now Sidepower, which is more powerful then previous version.
Once boat arrived, I asked the dealer service to add windlass control to the helm console. It helps me a lot. I also asked them to add more chain to anchor chain. Default was 12 meters I guess, I added 18 meters more. So I have 30 meters of chain plus the default rope which will allow me to anchor 7-8 meters of depth.
I also wanted to install a solar panel but the roof size is a bit frustrating in that sense. We could not fit a 300watt glass panel between the handles on the roof. A smaller one does fit but I though if I’m loosing the asthetics and aerodynamics then it should provide me significant power. I’ll check if I ever close the bimini. Else, I may consider flexible ones on bimini.
House battery is just okay. It’s 110Ah regular battery so it barely will run the fridge over the night.
At the dealer, I had the chance to check few more boats with different configurations so if you have any question please let me know.

I've been told by a representative at Moorings that many of the production delays are due to a worldwide scarcity of gelcoat; their new boat deliveries are suffering.

I have been told the same but it does seem strange that someone who ordered their boat in November got his boat in May when I ordered mine in September and I've not even got a delivery date and we are now in August. Jeanneau doesn't make it easy to contact them and I have found an email address on google but people who have contacted them have been told to ask their dealer for any updates which is a little disappointing being that my dealer doesn't have any info for me.

At the dealer, I had the chance to check few more boats with different configurations so if you have any question please let me know. Thanks for all the info. I have only ordered a 150hp engine which I know is often frowned upon but is ideal for me as my boat will be used mainly on a river and will be fine for the occasional coastal trips. it's good to hear the quality of your boat is very good. I have only ordered a 7" Garmin Echomap and hopefully it will do the basics for me. $500 for a Garmin map card is silly money! I admit to not knowing anything about the different makes of bow thrusters, but as I've ordered one a factory fit one it's good to hear its more powerful that the previous ones they used. i haven't ordered the electric windlass as I would rarely be using it, but it sounds worth having a seperate control in the helm if you do regularly use it. I plan to permanently keep my Bimini up because I like being outside in the sun but not directly in it, so I will just roll the side panels up assuming they aren't a pain to roll up because many Merry Fisher owners take them off which seems a lot of hassle to me. Interesting regards the solar panels but I'm not sure about them on the bimini but as you say there isn't anywhere else for them. I intend to buy a portable power unit so when out of the marina on warm days I can run some 240 volt fans off it (Jackery seems to have good reviews). I am probably in a small minority who hasn't ordered the fridge, and even the dealer suggested I saved my money as we will mainly use the boat for day trips or chilling in the marina and the cooler box we have works fine that. If we spend a few days on the coast we will stay in marinas with shore power and I might buy a portable fridge that will plug into shore power or use the portable power unit. I plan to fit a small smart TV on the boat as we have wifi in the marina, and I saw one in a 795 series 2 on youtube that was permanently fitted above the window in the sink cooker area (a 24" size will be ideal) but other than that I don't plan any alterations at this stage. I'm pleased the series 2 now comes with centre cleats as these will be worth having. Thanks again for the info it's much appreciated, but realistically I don't see me getting my 795 until after the end of the summer.

150hp should be okay on a river and if the boat is not loaded heavily. I find the fridge most useful option because it allows me not to carry a portable cooler everytime I go to the boat. I spent many days on Marina, boat office However, for longer trips I bought a cooler which will fit under the folding bench so it will not take any space. I saw the TV setups exactly as you’ve mentioned. I never considered it as We don’t watch TV much even at home. It depends on how hot the weather is around but here in summer, it is almost impossible to stay inside the boat during the day. Air conditioning is a must but I think too much investment for a boat in this size. I would like to have few more 12V outlets. One for sleeping cabin to connect a USB vantilator, one for port side of the cabin next to the table, to allow guest to charge their phones etc., and one for outside to connect a 12v cooler or bait livewell.

I also have now been waiting over 12 months for a 795 s2 Legend. Told it was early spring but after 4 promised delivery dates which didn't happen. Dealer was told It was told it was on transport 3 weeks ago but obviously wasn't. You cant trust anything they say. Its as if they want you to cancel. Having spoken to two dealers recently the factory have cancelled some of their orders and they have had to return the deposits. Is this any way to run a business. Next delivery is promised to dealer w/c 20th September 21 What a farce.

I was told my MF 795 would be delivered in Delaware USA in March, then May, etc. Finally took delivery early August. However, the price of the boat was great and the build quality so far seems solid. Overall, I'm happy with my MF 795. I have lithium batteries for the Air Conditioner / Heater and the control panel is not turning on for checks, but the AC unit works fine. When I pull for the winter I will have my dealer fix. I also plan to add a second house battery. I recommend it. That said, anyone on this forum know anything about the sets of lithium house batteries I see on the internet: one battery is for cranking the engine and the second is for house load? I get a lot of comments about how great the boat looks. Many people with pontoons comment how they may buy a MF just for the bathroom. There are 3 items I consider a must for this boat. 1) AC / Heater. The AC with lithium batteries is expensive but on a hot sunny day it is really worth the cost. 2) Bow thruster. My slip is on a windy river. This is a must in my opinion. 3) Zip wakes. Makes your ride so comfortable. They aren't much more than trim tabs but do so much more. Happy boating and watch out for the crab pots.

I was chatting to the Jeanneau sales team at the Southampton boat show (Sept 2021) and they were saying boats ordered at the show were being given October 2022 and some models March 2023 ! Also they were being told to expect at least a 5% increase in price. So its a case of if you want new, putting yourself in the queue and being patient, expect delays and also price increases, that's just the crazy market at the moment especially in the UK.

We can complain and yell at Jeanneau but it's not really surprising. Everything from cars to jeans is having availability problems because the global supply chain is all screwed up by Covid, combined with the fact that every big manufacturer went to just-in-time inventory (i.e. no inventory) so there's no slack in the system. Recovery will take quite a while. Now, neverlander said that Jeanneau makes 7-800 795's per year. This is a very small number, so if they are trying to order some basic electrical or hydraulic part or whatever, they might be competing with people who order them by the tens of thousands, so they would go to the back of the list. Having said all that, they should be honest: Underpromise and overdeliver.

The USA market was fed by the Jeanneau factory in Cadillac Michigan, but they are closing this year and shifting all manufacturing to Polen, so the delays will probably increase next year.
We just (yesterday) took delivery of our preowned Mar/April 2021 NC795 as it’s called here in USA. Ours only had 13 hrs on it when we started checking it. New ones were all sold already. It’s one of the hottest boat on the market. Ours came with the Yamaha 200, but I really was looking for the 250. It performs Ok but we’re only 2 in the boat and it’s not loaded down yet!!
How is the 795 with the 250? Anyone with a 300?
We have the Fridge and AC but not the Lithium batteries. We might go for that or a smallish generator for camping out. We’re in Florida so it’s hot here most of the time.
Has anyone installed window tints to cut down on the heat/sun/UV?
One of my pet Pieve are the windshield vipers. Ours starts/stops in the middle and not like the sales brochure at the sides. It also leaves a big blind spot in the middle of the screen where the vipers do not reach. Has anyone modified this?
We bought a mini Sd card for South FL for our Garmin echomap uhd 93 and it was $350 at West Marine in Florida. I understand you can use Active captain to download free maps but I wanted it at my fingertips at all time. It works well.
I know, many questions but I’m over all happy with the boat. Just some stuff to iron out. Thanks, Erik

Hi, good luck with boat.
For the windshield wipers; search old topics. there is a way to change the "sweep " of the motor and can cover the entire windshield
for the generator, be careful ( I would not do) of portables. I think Lithium batteries may give you more reserve but you need to charge and look at the requirements.
The electric and batteries are minimal vs US standards. They put a mercury outboard with electric steering and small house batteries. Not much room for extra electric consumption.
I like the Jeanneau line but there are faults and electric is the largest. i had an NC 895 and now a Leader 9.0 and there is no central circuit panel. i have to crawl all over to start generator, and active various circuits.

Hello Everyone! Wondering of actual delievery date & cost?
New to the forum, previous Macgregor owners forum as we have a 2009 26M that will be going on the block soon. I really enjoyed our Mac, seems I was the only one. The family was not willing to sacrafice cockpit room for the sailing/crusing and huge cabin that it offered. Time to move on..... Which brings me to this forum, we attended FLIBS a week or so ago. Been trying to tracking down Jeanneau 795 S2 (new concept) that I was told would be at this show. but not the 2021 795 S2 Sport that was on display. Really wanted the express cruiser and its got to be the 795 as I'm limited to my boat lift. Seem it arrived late to the show and wasn't allowed to be included.
Well I understand the challenges world wide with what Covid has presented, parts chain, suppliers, logisitics and transportation. Bought the 2022 795 Series 2, 250hp Yamaha and told inbound of Febuary 2022 in SWFL dealer. I am able to wait it out but really thought they were built in Michigan? Now I read Poland?
Also what I thought they were priced at about 150K USD loaded! Surprise, Surprise what was 150K for a 2021 is now 200K for 2022. Is this the going rate for a pandemic purchase with unknown delievery date?

We have a 2017 795 with the 200 and I'm really unconvinced that you need the 250. This summer we transported a huge load of supplies for a cabin renovation - it was hilarious, every cubic inch of the boat was stuffed to bulging with all sorts of stuff. Including the head, stacked up literally to the ceiling. Also three average sized people, and still no problem cruising along at 23kt. It burned more fuel, of course.

I ordered my 895 Sports with a deposit in May 2021 and the estimated delivery was Oct 2021. No update from Sundance Yachts on new delivery date, but I suspect it will be sometime next year. Anyone else have the latest delivery time frame for US or European markets for 895 sports from order date to delivery date ? Thanks !

895 Sport ordered in May that was already on the dealers stock orders to be delivered by 12/31/21. No updates as to delivery as of yet. I did see in a Facebook group someone getting an 895 Sport that was ordered in March and delivered in mid October, that was in Florida.

My situation is similar, deposit is for a build slot already on dealer’s pending stock list. My dealer reached out to me yesterday and said no delivery will take place this year. Mostly likely Q1 or Q2 next year as the boat needs to be shipped in from Poland for 895 Sport for US market. 795 and 895 (none Sport version) are built in the US and has much shorter delays if any for US buyers.
