I own a 2020 NC 1095. Sailor for 40 years converted to Power boater. My question is on the Jeanneau 1095 you have two shore sockets and 2 30 amp shore cords. The manual refers to an "AC shore socket" I bought the boat used so I don't know who to ask, but why 2 power cords and 2 shore sockets? Also, do I need to buy a power cord converting both 30's to a 50 and use the 50 amp on land? Thanks in advance

One for the battery charger and one for the sailboat. The power receptacles on the boat are 50 amp (female end of the cord), but the male end is 30 amp which plugs into the shore power post. What cords do you have? Are your power receptacles on your boat 30 amp or 50 amp?

Thanks Chris
I thought they were both 30's. will check. No where in the Owners manual for the 1095 says what the two power cords do ,other than to say "General and Air Conditioning".

General will run your battery charger. Hope you can sort it out quickly. I think the Jeanneau manuals could be improved with some input from owners! Chris

Chris One shore power connection is exclusively for the 3 Dometic A/C units. The other shore power connection is for the remainder of the circuits on the boat (microwave, water heater, stovetop, battery chargers, etc.). On our boat, Jeanneau has used 50 amp capable plugs despite each leg only needing 30 amps (probably due to streamlined manufacturing between models). Also note that the 50 amp plug is not typical—it is unique as it’s a 125v-rated plug. You will not find it on the Marinco website or on the shelf somewhere. The part number is “special” and specific to Jeanneau. Our boat was delivered from the factory with two of these Jeanneau-specific power cords manufactured by Marinco.

Think you will only find this set up on USA and Caribbean based boats which often have two AC units as well as all the other stuff. It's probably not mentioned much in Jeanneau manuals because even one AC unit is still rare in Europe even though Med temps often go up to 40c.

Chris "General" and "Air Conditioning" seems pretty self explanatory to me! I am really impressed with the manual that came with my Jeanneau. I have full schematics for all mechanical and electrical systems and detailed instructions on the use of major systems. I am not sure what they could improve.

The receptacles on my 2020 1095 (made in poland) are the Marinco Euro 32A receptacles. The shore power cords are special with 32A female EEL connectors for the boat side and standard 30A male on the shore side. As others have posted, one is for the air condiconditioning exclusively and the other is for everything else.
As soon as I get the chance I will switch the receptacles on the boat from Euro 32A to US 30A so I can use any standard US shore power cord set, including the 2 x 30 to 1 x 50 Y adapter if necessary.

Both are 30 amp connectors and the Marina supply is 30amp, so can’t help on that part. The ac pulls a lot of amps (that’s what my dealer ‘taught’ me)

Hi there just wondering if you ever did switch the receptacles and whether that is working out for you? I think that is a great idea. We just purchased a used 1095 fly and it came with only the one special power cord. So I'm kind of wondering how I want it configured for hooking up at different marinas. Thanks for any input.

Hi, I haven't done it yet as I have been working on other projects (seating upgrades, inverter for running TVs and charging devices when not on shore power or generator etc.)
That said, one of my cables got damaged so I am faced with a decision. Either replace the cord with another "special" cord which could take weeks, or switch out the receptacle on the boat and get a standard US 30A cord. If I do the latter, I will do both so they are the same.
Right now with only one working cord, I can either power the boat systems (chargers, microwave etc) OR have air conditioning. Not both at the same time.

From what I have gathered it is a standard 50 Amp 125 volt only receptacle on the boat. There are pigtails, dogbones, etc that you can purchase on amazon, ebay, or west marine for these. However if 30 amps is all that is required (not sure why Jeanneau put in the 50's) then it would be an easier solution to change out just the receptacles. By the way the invertor idea is probably a great one.

Hi, My 1095 was definitely fitted with Euro 32A receptacles and the special cords have 32A boat side EEL connectors and standard USA 30A male shore side plugs. The 32A fittings on the boat look at first glance like 50A 125v but they are different. The spade pins curve differently and are not compatible.
The 3000W 12V DC inverter works like a champ. I have added extra 115V outlets in the salon and elsewhere around the boat.

Wow....thanks for the advice on the receptacles, I was just ready to make a huge mistake. Anyways I only received one power cable with the used boat purchase and will now try to purchase another proper cable. Thanks again!
