Has anyone plumbed the head for fresh water from the on board tank? 2019 NC 895. Thanks.

I have not done this on a 895, but on my 43DS, and it makes the head smell go away and your wife happy. Not hard to do, but you do have to install a control panel and make a connection to your pressure water system, which should be accessable in the head. Oh, and you probably have to replace the toilet, or at least, parts of the toilet. Not difficult, but definitely a project. If you would like photos, I can take some and send them.

We are using fresh water from the sink to operate the head. No salt water and no odor. Sounds like a chore to convert the system to fresh water.

That is certainly the easiest method, if you have a hose nozzle in the sink, or just use a small pitcher.

We use salt water and before leaving the boat give a rinse with fresh from the shower to keep it fresh.
