SO440 - single head, walk-in closet

I am in the process of ordering a new 440. Has anyone foregone the v-berth ensuite head and chosen the walk-in closet option? I can't seem to find any pics or videos of this option. Does anyone have a pic? If you chose this option would you do so again or would you prefer the 2nd head?

We have a SO42DS with two heads. When we have guests on board, it nice to have separate facilities. I would not choose the 1 head option.

Thanks Tafika! We are planning on cruising just the 2 of us, so a walk in closet has it's merits. 

So I just heard from the dealer, who asked the factory for pics. Apparently this is the standard boat option, and only 1 boat has left the factory with this option lol. So I am guessing no one on this forum will have a pic.

I know this does not answer your question,  but would you be better off leaving as is and hiring someone to make a walk in closet for  you including a washer/dryer  since you have the plumbing and electrical for it?  I have a Jeanneau 41SD and when the time comes that we go cruising I was thinking of doing that.  That would be more practical for us than having a head for a guest that might visit once a year.  Just a thought...

I agree, this option is not very common.We have chosed the 2 head one and honnestly,i can not imagine not having it.
we mostly sail at 2 , and there is plainty of space in the master cabin to store clothes or other things. And you also have the aft cabin.

We have the two heads which we needed because I have two children, but more relevant to you I often single hand or have just one crew member for passages, and end up using both heads. The forward head is on port and the aft on starboard and it can be nice to have that option depending on tack. 

Also, nothing destroys morale faster than the head being out of order. Redundancy can be nice. 

I will echo Fabrice as I think you will be pleasantly surprised on the storage capacity of the 440. I know we have been. The two cabin version has an extra storage room, and depending on options an extra closet could be installed there. 

Finally, the fact Jeanneau has only made one is an indication of how that would impact you if you ever decide to sell. While I understand your thought it would probably be better long run to have the second head. Even if all you did was install a rod and use it as a closet.

Have a SO 410, we’re a family of 4 (2 children) and one head is enough in my humble opinion. Less things to break and leak. More space to live / storage.
