If you’re asking for an opinion about which to choose, I think the first thing to do would be to find out which one best covers the area you expect to be in.
Last summer, I was helping a friend deliver his trawler from Lake Saint Clair to Lake Ontario. He had an engine failure within an hour of departure, and called towboat US. His boat US membership included unlimited towing, so he was completely unconcerned about how much it might cost. That kind of peace of mind is nearly priceless.

We have twice had good results with Tow Boat/US, once after losing a transmission against an outgoing tide (Barnegat Inlet), put us on a mooring then towed us to our marina on the following day. And once not so good when the helmsman took a mark on the wrong side putting us hard aground in the Connecticut River against. In that case the first TowBoat/US operator on scene did not try to determine the shortest way to deeper water; I think he pulled us harder aground; no question his tactics cost us on a falling tide. So a second boat was called, clearly a more experienced (with sailboats) captain, who told the first one to take a line to the masthead and heel us over a bit, then the second neatly pulled us off... So batting 660?
I pay Boat/US for unlimited towing, which is well worth it. They are also my insurance provider though GEICO is the company.
