You surprise me about Sea Ventures not having details of your VAT invoice.... I talked to them a few years back about our 2004 boat and yes they could indeed supply a certified copy. You sure you have been talking to the correct person?
You say you really need a copy on board for French cruising?
If your boat was in France on the evening of 31st Dec 2020 then you will have gained French (EU) Vat paid status. In Greece it seems the proposal is that you just have to self certify that VAT has been paid and not reclaimed - 10 year prison sentence for false declaration. If it was in the UK on said date then you are now classed as a third country boat and can only stay in EU waters for 18 months at a time regardless of your English VAT invoice.... You have lost your EU VAT paid status.
