Maybe this has been discussed before, but how do you buy wood that matches the interior of your boat? I have gone to a couple of specialty wood places and nothing they have matches. The guy yesterday said that it is Scandinavian teak and they do not carry it.

As I understand it Jeanneau in their recent boats have used a veneer panel from Alpi. Panels are provided to Jeanneau and than Jeanneau cnc's the panels to each model specification. There has been some previous posts of owners trying to get some of the veneer panel without success. In my 07 Jeanneau I had fairly good match with teak veneer. I had to play around with the finish to get a close match to the factory wood and finish. I have had good veneer product from Veneer Supplies. Joe is the owner and has been responsive to past inquiries. I would take a good photo of a panel on your vessel and sent to Joe to see if he can find a veneer that will have a close match.

I grew up sailing in Racine and Kenosha! That may be a way to deal with panels. How about the solid wood?

If you are just doing repairs most good antique restorers or French polishers should be able to get an invisible match.
