Hi... Can the interior light on 2015DS light bulb be changed. My older fixture the glass would come out but this one does not. Is it a sealed unit or do I force the round glass off? Trying to replace with different colored lights. Thanks Abe

I don’t the believe the bulb can be removed from the base, it seems to be a sealed unit.
I lost a few to a “high voltage” event (lightning strike) and bought replacements through the spare parts website. I think the cost around $20.

Now that Jeanneau have gone over to LED lighting for all applications on the boat, they are using sealed units rather than replaceable bulbs.
I found this out when thinking of replacing my top of mast anchor light with an LED bulb fitted with built in daylight sensor that I had purchased for my previous boat but never got around to fitting.

That seems silly. They do have a burn life, and it is not as long as the makers say! Like all mass boat producers, cost is the driver.

Hi Abe! We replaced 6 of the factory-installed halogen lights in 2018 with Ventura ILIM30451 PowerLED Bi-Color - Stainless Steel Warm White/Red. Two in the salon, 1 in each head, one in the forward cabin, and two in the aft cabin. They are great lights (and expensive), but you can function at night with only the red-lighted. In 2020, we replaced the remaining fixtures with touch-on-off-dim warm white LED fixtures bought on Amazon. We like these combinations so we can control the brightness and task areas lighted. It not a complicated project. If you can do what you did with the water leak, you can certainly tackle this project. Are you in MDR?

I am in Channel Islands Harbor in Ventura. If you never been up here you should try the Channel Islands National Park . It is a wonderful place to go sailing. Abe

Q: How many Jeanneau owners does it take to change a lightbulb? A: 3. One to navigate the Jeanneau parts order website, one to check the Jeanneau owners forum hints & tips and one to buy the Jeanneau. 😊

Silly joke. Abe

Was it a bulk roll that you can cut to length or just a set length?

Hi.. Hopefully I did this right but the product is Daybetter 32.8ft led. I do not think you can cut them and if you do you may need some type of adapter ..not sure. I connected it to the 12v directly instead of using the AC/transformer. The system remembers the last setting so when you turn on the electrical back on the lights go on to whatever dim and color setting you have. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JN28KP3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Abe
