Hi all I am looking for the actual dimensions of a table with pedestal as the one in the pic below: My 2002 came with the standard flat table with 2 metal legs and I cannot wait to replace it anyone has dimensions? or even better any recommendation on where to get this from. I am checking with some local carpenters in HK, but here everything is pricy.. Cheers

That table was an optional extra on the 43DS and it usually came with the SS front opening fridge. Most boats destined for the USA had this spec, very few in Europe. I tried to get the table through a Jeanneau dealer (spares section) but it is no longer made or stocked by Jeanneau. It was also very pricey - into thousands £.
I too have been looking for a carpenter to make one as it would be cheaper. The big gotcha is the mechanism that supports the two fold out sections.
The last time I was in Thailand I looked at some carpenters shops which had really nice teak ready to be made up, but I suspect it is illegal to import it Europe. Plus friends of mine spent a lot of money getting stuff made in Indonesia but it never turned up!

actually, that is a great idea, freezer sounds great. On my side I was thinking of turning it up into a wine & beer cabinet I am talking to a local carpenter, let's see what he says, I will keep you posted, maybe instead of teak we use oak or redwood, then it could be shipped cheers

Malcolm, I tried to find Peter Van Wijk's UN in the members' list since would love to know the details of the washing machine he installed, voltage, Watts, kg capacity etc.
Andres, note that in the photo for which Malcolm gave the link, the table has two legs. Think this was standard and with two legs it wld certainly be more stable and is exactly the version that i have. The bases remain in place but the vertical tubes of about 1 metre each can be removed and the table top dropped down to level with the saloon seats in order to make another double bunk. The table top is supported by two bars that stretch across (fore & aft) and slot into sockets screwed on the side of the seats. Sure it gives lots of flexibility but in the 6 years i have had the boat i never used it. The infill cushion is quite large and hard to find a place to store but eventually i squeezed it into the space under the fwd V-berth, just ahead of the bow-thruster, after making a panel just ahead of the bow-thruster to stop the cushion interfering with the bow-thruster or batteries. About the washing machine, it’s a 220V and I think about 1600 Watts. It can hold 3 kg. Mine is an old one and consumes a lot of water for this 3 kg. Consumption is about 50 liters per washing. I am looking for a new one but haven’t found one yet that is the same size. If you decide to install one and found one please let me know.

I was in contact with Peter over the installation of a washing machine many years ago.... Not sure if I have the emails still for all the info he passed on. Seem to think the washing machine was a candy.
I asked my local maintenance people about installing one... Trying to get a washing machine onboard a boat single handed and then down a companion way has the potential for 'mishap'... but it met with a lack of enthusiasm for taking the job on.
Many people frown upon the idea but if you are touring Greece launderettes can be few and far between; And you cannot rely on the clothes being ready at the agreed time. They just don't understand that you are paying for time on a pontoon and an extra night just waiting for laundry make clothes washing very expensive.

The table....
It seems the version with the convertible saloon/sleeping version came with the two SS legs. Our table is supported by a solid, wine/glass holder type cupboard - like the one supporting the folding table, but we don't have the retractable supports needed for the fold out sections.
One of the forum members, who owns a 42ds, offered me his table at a very good price but getting it into Greece was going to be a nightmare.
I will try and post his details later.
The 42DS table is not an exact fit but it might be cheaper to modify than building from scratch. And it came with the appropriate supporting cabinet.

Hi all I just happen to have the folding table pictured available for purchase. Totally refinished & in great shape and no dings. Folding table only, not the cabinet it sits on. Off a 43ds but I think some other models also use it. Located on west coast of Canada so shipping would be a topic all in itself.

Hi Lazycruser can you share the photos? do you have measurements? what is the table material? this will be important with regards to the importing locally what price range are you thinking of? Regards Andres

Hi Andres. It’s 31 1/2 x21 1/2 closed. 31 1/2 x 43 1/8 opened up. It is teak with a lite coloured wood inlay (holly?) around the perimeter. Its Pretty darn heavy. I cant master the photos on this site as you can tell from my avatar but am able to send them on e mail. I haven't tried selling it locally yet but am looking at 600$. Chris

Hi Anders. Weight is 45 lbs. plus packaging.... rough shipping size is 2’x3’ x5’’. E mail is fastest way for pictures due to my inability to comprehend Malcoms kind instructions ( just one of my many faults ). Chris

Hi everybody I’m here and still sailing with my SO 43ds Hi Peter great work!! Do you have additional information on the table drawers? Did you use rails or wheels? side or bottom? In the drawer closer to the galley there seems to be a hose of some sorts? where did you get the push button locks from? do the drawers have any risk to open if severely heeled to port side? On the washing machine installation, did you cut an opening to have access to the back of the washing machine and sink hose? Regards Andres

Hello Peter,
I too have the same questions regarding the drawers under the table. How easy or difficult is it to remove the front to cut the openings? Did you use side rails or a single one on the bottom? How are they locked? I will be working on my compression post in July when my mast is removed and want to tackle this job as well. Your insight or additional pictures would be greatly appreciated.
