I am thinking of fitting an eberspascher heater on my SO40. Can anyone advise where their heater unit is fitted and where the heating pipe runs. Many thanks Adrian

Hi we have a webasto fitted - but much the same - the uinit is in the Stbd cockpit locker 2 ducts run down the sbd side behind cooker etc with 1 outlet under the salon seating and the other going forward to the fore cabin - 2 other ducts run along the stern to each rear cabin - - i would advise putting in outlets in the heads which is someting i am now looking at - it does feel cold in there when you have a nice warm cabin

Hi Adrian
I have fitted a Webasto heater in our SO 40 under the boarding step at the stern. It is accessible from the rear stern locker if you take out the cover board first. The standard factory fitted heater is located in the starboard cockpit locker and a panel is fitted in front of the heater to keep it clear of the locker contents. I wanted the full locker space so fitted our heater in waisted space. It is quite difficult to access but allows the ducting to be run on the port side which allows you to fit outlets in both back cabins heads main cabin and for cabin. If you want more details please ask

Hi, I have a SO40.3 with an Eberspascher 4 outlet heater fitted it is excellent and would recommend. The unit is under and outside the port steering pedastel - aft of the locker except for small overlap. The outlets are in aft cabin, heads, saloon and forecabin. The hose passes through the main saloon in the main locker at the top and back.
