Hi, has anyone replaced the gas oven with a convection microwave? Looking to know what to buy, etc. Any information greatly appreciated and happy new year!

My boat is away for the season. But it looks like a wood filler panel in the additional space above. Would be nice if that was an available spare part. Thanks for the photos!

Hi, I have been back to my boat today, which is in the winter shed. The microwave fitted by Jeanneau is a Panasonic NN-GD37HS, which is 48cm wide and 27cm high at the front. The wooden panel above is 54cm by 12.8cm.

I am using a convection microwave in my boat and I have no problem with it. A standard of microwave is more likely to use convection to heat food quickly. Since electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light, radiation has a faster heat transfer than convection. However, convection can cook food more evenly. The best part is that you can use metal in a convection microwave without any fears of sparks.
