Hi Everyone,
Thank you for accepting me into the forums. I have just purchased a Sun 2500 and will be sailing her from Chatham, UK when the weather gets a little better! She is currently ashore and I'm using the time to get some jobs done, tinker and do some reading!
Keep safe and see you on the water.
Richard

I couldn't find the original article where journalist's sailed it around France. The link is the subsequent use of the boat helping disadvantaged disruptive children. I saw the boat a few years ago in La Roche Bernard. Google translate does a reasonable job if French isn't your strong point.

Hi Richard. I own the other Sun 2500 based at Chatham Marina - also previously called “Roy’s Toy”, but now known as Matariki (Maori word meaning a sea breeze from the North East). She’s currently out of the water, on a cradle about four along from Cosette and also awaiting various bits of maintenance. The Sun 2500 is a great boat for the Medway/Thames estuary and very easy to manage single-handed. Perfectly comfortable for overnight stops at Queenborough, Ramsgate etc. Fingers crossed for a reasonable sailing season this year. David (Matariki)
