Sydney 32 There are a few Sydney 32's for sale and I almost was about to arrange a race on one at my club. The interior would have been good for my new cruising requirement, but the cockpit is just too small and broke up by a massive wheel I also considered Sydney 38's which had the comfort, a decent sized cockpit but was not so good for short handed. Also the draft can be an issue for Brisbane.

Northshore 369 Fast, comfortable. A bit like a scaled down Sydney 38

Please don't keep us in suspense... Given that I have not actually seen the boat, you lot can wait It sucks buying this way, but that's the new normal. I wanted to see the boat on the weekend I made the offer but as the states have a habit of closing borders and forcing quarantine I had to kill off those plans. I was hoping to go up for the survey next Monday, but the border is closed. Thankfully I'm not worried about buying a Jeanneau and I have contacts who knows who looks after the boat and there will be a survey. At least commercial delivery skippers can still cross borders, so the first time I see her will be in the marina here. I don't think I'd be buying blind many of the boats I have just shown.

Why you did not consider a PoGo for racing - this summer we were flying with 17-21kt all the in the Cyclades on one...

Also from practical point of view if I go to racing again I would consider JOD35 as it is a lot of boat for very little money..

I'm not picturing you in one......but at the moment, with what you've shown, an SF3200?!?!?!?
I've longed for an sf35 for many years, or a 37 would be ok....but slower at least around here by 25-35 secs a mile phrf.
maybe an older JOD35?
any way, about time to go to sleep here on left coast of North AMerica......

Sorry for keeping you guys in suspense for so long, but tough luck It's 4 weeks since I made the offer, survey has been done and I am yet to see the boat. Covid and Christmas has made this a very slow process. Had an interesting conversation to a delivery skipper the other day. Because of Covid, he now gets extra satisfaction with his job as he gets to see the face of owners seeing their boat for the very first time. There have been a lot of blind purchases over the lat 9 months. I did hear a story about one guy who bought a boat for his 65th birthday. He flew up to Sydney to see his new boat and then there was a covid outbreak in the region. He flew home to Melbourne for his extravagant party and had to spend it in hotel quarantine while the guests partied. It sucks, but I'd rather the covid issues we have here than elsewhere. I am VERY glad I still don't live in Sweden. Take care everybody...

Yes, because I'm being kept in suspense.

I call the suspense a feature and not a bug.
We're all a bit lacking in stimulation these days (although here in the US the performance art insurrection with terrorist leanings has been quite exciting to follow).

Very nice! What's the phrf rating? Did she come with a racing inventory?

How does she match up with your expectations?
I also bought sight unseen recently so I know it can be a mixture of emotions when you actually first set eyes on your new toy! And the journey continues for a while afterwards...

How does she match up with your expectations? I really don't know what to say at the moment. I was a bit overawed as the journey to getting to be an owner again was so long (and a 900km drive to get there). It really won't hit me until she is in Melbourne and we do the first race against boats I know.
