Some years ago, we chartered a Jeanneau 40 in the British Virgin Islands. It was a lovely boat and trip. Now, trying to piece back together some details of that charter, I would like to be able to find more about the boat. The boat left charter service in October 2005 and, unfortunately, the charter company no longer has any detailed records.
The information I have gathered so far includes the boat name (Taz), hull number (IRI0067C99), and rough date of manufacture/placement into charter service (May 1999). I seem to remember the the flag/country of registration was Greece, but cannot be certain.
What I would really like to find is the official registration number for that boat. Any idea howe to find that?

If you can't get more information from the charter company, perhaps you could post on the BVI Forum on Traveltalk - there are a lot of people there who have been chartering in the BVI for years and you might get lucky. I've kept my boats in the BVI for many years but can't recall a Jeanneau called "TAZ" (there's a racing boat called TAZ, but that is different). There aren't many greek-flagged boats down there, either. the URL for Traveltalk is www.traveltalkonline.com/ubbthreads.php/forums/7/1/british-virgin-islands.html
