I’ve seen lots of discussions on this forum about the main side windows on our boats, but nothing about the window locks/latches. The side window latches are a push button, on my boat, these push buttons leak in the rain. I cannot determine how to disassemble the lock, but it leaks between the outer portion and the button itself. In our PNW winters, my leak now has to be resolved. Has anyone figured out how to fix, replace, or remove these latches? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
J

Hi jnorris, I was having that same issue when I first received my boat and it took the dealer a couple years to come up with a fix, but they did. In my case when the window clipped shut it was not pulling the slider window far enough forward to give it a snug seal. What they did to resolve it was to add a small slice of plastic (about a 1/4 inch) to the latch on the main window. I have not had leak issues since this was added to both left and right windows. I’ve included photos below. I hope this helps. Ron

Thanks for the reply Captn Ron! My pushbutton latch is quite different than your clip, I will have to upload a picture this weekend. The pushbutton does not appear to be removable or serviceable, it appears to be siliconed in to the non-moving part of the window. In any case, I think that my fix will have to be different than yours, but as always, something will work. Thanks again!
