See this:
The latest 'discovery' of our new purchase is a leak when it rains into the aft heads - which is port side just behind the chart table and forward of the aft port cabin. As you can see it's dripping down from the back of the hard plastic liner. My skipper can't see any obvious area of ingress. The opening hatch is an obvious culprit as that is just above but so far he can't see it coming from there.
Anyone experience this kind of leak before and any pointers on possible source?
Thanks

I hope a SO 50 owner can tell from their experience soon. I have never set foot on your model, but have had the 'pleasure' of tracking leaks.
If the leak can be fully relied on to perform every shower I find my 1L garden pump up sprayer to be invaluable, application of logic also helps. as you have said, the hatch is a suspect and to eliminate it my approach on a nice sunny day, would be to cover any other suspects .. nearby stanchion bases, cleats, Genoa sheet tracks , toe rail to deck joint etc with beach towels, then dam the area close to the hatch to prevent much of the water escape, and then spray the hatch and wait for the drips to start. The pump spray bottle I find more controlled than a hose and will deliver enough to find most leaks.
The trouble with these pesky little leaks is that they can originate quite a long way from where they eventually emerge, and I have once had a cable gland at the mast base leak into an aft cabin ! If the leak occurs only hours after a shower it could be originating at some distance away. Elimination of one suspect at a time works for me, sometimes quickly sometimes not but it's great when the drips stop. Good that it is in the heads rather than above your bed, and I hope you find and fix your drip soon.
Resist the urge to put food colourings into the spray bottle, or you will have a technicolour boat.
Good luck CB
