Hi,
I have a 2004 SO 35, which has the pedestal shown in this picture. I need to replace the O rings, and would like to know if anyone knows the correct sizes. I have measured them to the best of my ability as 2x42 (ID=42mm, OD=46mm) and 2x25 (ID=25mm, OD=29mm). If anyone can confirm these sizes, or give the correct sizes, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, Don

That's where I started, actually. I looked pretty hard, including their catalogue, and didn't find the level of detail necessary to determine sizes of O rings. Worse, though, was no mention of the particular pedestal I have, which is 16 years old.

Did you try calling or emailing them? Seems very specialized.

I'll give that a try also. It's also possible my mechanics, who is also associated with the yacht sales company where I bought my boat, might know or even have spares.
I suppose I could just buy a bunch of O-rings of sizes around my measurements and hope for the best. They're not expensive.

Did you try calling or emailing them? Seems very specialized. After two weeks, Goiot replied to my request for size information by simply saying they don't carry spares for my pedestal, since they haven't made it in a long time. Not at all useful, unfortunately.
However, my mechanic tells me that they're not actually O rings, but are instead galvanic separators, intended to separate the stainless grab rail from the aluminum base. He said that the sealant needs to be replaced, and that the existing "O rings" can be reused.
