We're new NC 895 Sport owners. One thing we're still figuring out is how to best flush the engines. The starboard engine is pretty straight forward going out on the swimstep. What's the best way to reach the hose connection on the port engine? I'm basically leaning over from the swim step and laying on top of the stb engine. It's not too precarious, but salty now and would not be fun in the winter.

Its a challenge. I have left the port engine in the water and flushed the starboard engine. access is better with port engine down. then raiset he port engine and flush it, hope this helps.

Good tip - thanks mike.
and generally, just how important is it to flush after every use? I know there will be different opinions, and the urgency is hard to quantify.. If the engines are being used every day, probably little need to flush. (Commercial boats don’t usually bother) If used every week? My boat spends some time on a swing mooring where flushing is not easy. Interested in informed opinions..
