Hi,
I bought used Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 33i and the previous owner had only one key left. I'd like to make a spare keys but the problem is that there seems not to be a suitable billet for the key in Finland. Is there any place that sells right billets so that I can give it to key maker?

Since your profile doesn't say where you are located, if you are in the USA, you can get them from Jeanneau in Annapolis. There are a lot of threads on these key blanks for UK & EU sourcing also

We have the same problem here in Canada. Locksmiths don't stock the right blanks. We ordered a couple from our Jeanneau broker. They were over priced, but no big deal.

My original key is marked AU25. Can’t find those. In the USA key blanks type Y6 are the same profile but a bit longer. And easy to find. The key can be cut from these and they fit fine. Just a tiny bit of e tea length is wasted.

Typo. There is a tiny bit of extra wasted.

I too have had the key problem, took the board with the lock as well as the only key to a locksmith ..... not many of those around now but Fortunately have a local one, with his huge wall of key blanks he set off confidently in search saying " just be a minute, I haven't been defeated yet" half an hour later and a row of customers growing at the door, he admitted partial defeat, it took him another 20 mins having scanned the key and contacted three suppliers of blanks with little success , then pronounced the word 'boat' ... immediately his supplier knew which elusive blank he was searching for. How many ? he asked, 3 said I, so he ordered 12 being so close to a marina. And now I have 4 keys. Advice here is to find a small key chap, and say 'boat' first, followed by can you get me some of these please, it seems that a lot of companion way locks for boats use the same old key blank , as I had exactly the same problem with a 1986 Moody 34.
Good luck key hunting CB

If the lock mechanism is the same as the 36i and the key say's "JMA" on one side and the other side is "fth-1", I found them here
Then just took them in and had cut. Price is for 5 blanks not 1.

For those on the West Coast of US. I took my hatch lock off the boat. Took the lock along with the key to Martin Lock & Safe Laguna Hills CA 949-582-5652. With the lock and old key in hand Gerlad Zettel (owner) machined a new set of keys for me. He gave me two sets of new keys for $70. Previously I had taken just my old key into Martin Lock and Safe. Gerald was not able to match the key with any blank he had. But with the lock and key he was able to machine a new set of keys.
