We are keeping Serica afloat this year and basically in commission, although I have now covered the Genoa with a genoa sock to help avoid mildew etc One tip I had from the dealer though is to remove the plastic shower fitting on the stern bathing platform, as unless you have drained the fresh water system entirely, when the pipe freezes this will most likely break the shower rose fitting I plugged mine with a radiator cap valve which (in the UK at least) has the same thread with the addition of a cork spacer I cut from a wine bottle ( yes - had to specially open a bottle just for the cork ;D) Norm's primer at: www.jeanneau-owners.com/hintsandtips/winterization.htmlis also well worth reading Malcolm

Malcom,
Are you keeping the interior of the boat warm? If not, the entire water system, as well as the bilge pump, shower sump, etc. will be at risk.

Malcom, Are you keeping the interior of the boat warm? If not, the entire water system, as well as the bilge pump, shower sump, etc. will be at risk. Don Hi Don The short answer is yes - when required, fortunately I drive past the boat twice a day on my way to and from work and we do not have (touch wood) as severe winters as in NY I have shore power with heaters and a big dehumidifier that I fire up as required If a very hard winter starts I will drain the systems etc, but here on the UK East Coast we now only get and occasional snow flurry - but accept that can change quickly Malcolm
