I know it's not a matter of life or death. For the longest time we had the boathook in the port-side cabin tray, sort of under the table. But increasingly I want to use that for other stuff. So using one small piece of industrial-strength velcro, I stuck it to the aft bulkhead just to the right of the sliding door. See pictures. Note that the boathook is resting on the deck, so the velcro isn't carrying the weight, it's just keeping it upright against the wall. I could have got black velcro but white was what was in the crafts drawer. Small problem, satisfying solution.

Capn Ron, any chance you can point me to where you bought the mounting clips you used?

Hmm, it was a couple years ago and I can’t remember if I got them off amazon or in a hardware store. They are broom/mop wall mount clips. I was just looking and I see a new type that has rubber rollers that look interesting. To be honest, I think I got the idea from Capt’n Lynn. 😉
