2015 Jeanneau 50DS. The exhaust fan located in the engine compartment that is tied to the start switch at the help does not come on when I press the switch. I jumped the fan, it works. I checked the connectors on both the fan and the switch at the helm, no corrosion on either. When I press the vent fan switch at the helm, the light comes on, it beeps and I am able to start the engine. I tested for voltage on the connectors at the fan while the switch was pressed and saw no signal. So, I'm assuming its a relay. Does anyone know where the relay switch is located?

I can't answer your question about the location of the relay. But it's possible that the behavior is due to a thermostat that controls when the fan comes on. In my 2005 SO 35, the fan doesn't come on until the engine has been run for quite a while.
Perhaps others with the same model can provide further information.

Thanks for your quick reply Don. I've tested for that too and it won't come on. The fan would come on anytime I pressed the switch in the past and wouldn't turn off until I hit the switch again. Also, the engine wouldn't start unless the fan switch was on. The switch light still comes on and the engine starts but the fan doesn't.

Not sure if it helps but on my 2013 469 it's under the port bunk where the bulk of the cabling is.
There's a bank of three relays, 2 of them are fused (bow thruster and windlass) the other is the engine fan.

Thanks! Just saw those a couple of days ago and suspect that is where mine is too. I’ll check it out.

Found the relay near the engine battery. But, the problem was a connector that came loose. It is located in the port aft cabin in the small space between the engine compartment and the batter compartment. Back in business.

Found the relay next to the engine battery but the problem turned out to be a loose connector. It's located in the small hole between the battery compartment and the engine compartment. Back in business.
