I'm in the process of buying a nc 795. Very excited. This boat seems to do it all.
I do have several questions
My municipal slip is limited to boats under 23 ft. I see in the specs that the waterline us 22'10" . What is on the registration, 22 or 23? It could mean thousands in savings for me
Also is it possible to get a large enough inverter to operate the factory installed ac?
Lastly how does the boat perform in a snotty sea?
Thanks all

Hi desyacht, the 795 is a great multi-purpose/multi-season boat.
Regarding length there are a couple different numbers to look at: LOA (length over all - bow to stern not including the engine) = 22‘10” LOD (length on dock - depending on options) = 24’4 (this is bow to end of swim platform) LOD (length on dock - depending on options) = 25’11” (this is bow with anchor or any other option to end of swim platform) LWL (length water line) = Not exactly sure as Jeanneau does not post it in the specs and I haven’t measured it.
The marina’s I’ve dealt with typically use the LOD and not the LOA so they can plan (and get more money) for actual room in slips. I’d check some of the existing boats in the marina to see what their LOD is, but if they are asking for LOA then I would give them 22’10”.
Regarding the inverter, it’s more about the size of your battery bank. I don’t have an AC, but if the inverter can handle the AC maximum surge then you would need to calculate how many amp hours you need to run your AC. This is important because battery management isn’t like a tank of gas. Depending on what type of batteries you are using will determine useful percentage of the total battery load. There are a number of threads and discussions on batteries on the forum you can search for. My recommendation is a 2200 or 3000 watt inverter and make sure it’s a pure sine wave inverter, and use AGM or Lithium batteries for your battery bank and make sure you add a battery management monitor . One thing to check is see if it’s wired to only run on shore power. That’s the way my water heater is setup so I can’t run it while not on shore power, I would have to retire my water heater.
Regarding the boat handling in snotty sea it does pretty good, but it depends on what your expectations are. It’s not a deep cut V hull so you will see more slapping on the water off of bigger waves, but it’s manageable. For the most part you won’t want to be out in those conditions anyway, but if you are at least you will stay dry. I hope this helps.
Cheers, Ron

One step forward, signed the contract today on a new NC 795
Does anyone here use a Honda generator to power up the AC/Heater and if so can it be stored under the table in the cockpit or anywhere else on the boat?
Thanks

One last comment on slip size. You also need to consider the beam of the NC 795, it's 9.5 feet. I just tried to stick my NC 795 into a 24' slip and it was tight, there is a high likely hood the boat will get scratched or damaged.

Took Delivery on Friday on my NC 795. The dealer Louis Marine did everything to make sure my experience was enjoyable and complete. Any issues I had we're handled immediately.
Ran the boat out into long island sound unfortunately it was calm I was looking forward to see what she'll do in seas
Planning on spending next two weeks aboard hoping around CT, and eastern long island

Also is it possible to get a large enough inverter to operate the factory installed ac? - I have A/C and it was a lifesaver when I motored up the ICW last week. Of course, it only worked when plugged in at a marina but it cooled off the interior so I could sleep in comfort. I’m thinking of getting a Honda 2K generator to power the A/C when anchored. The forward berth will get a lot cooler. Lastly how does the boat perform in a snotty sea? - not too bad if the wind is light but out in the Chesapeake bay in 15kts you’ll get bounced around pretty good. I never felt in danger though.

Ron. This is incorrect information. 22'10" is the LWL. (Length at the Water line) The LOA of the vessel not including the engine is 24'4" The Length overall with options is 25'11" (which is what you would use as dock length measurement) Straight from the Jeanneau PDF: app.jeanneau.com/static/media/document/cdf71cdc7feef6185a87d83ba9fc3356.pdf

Instead they use: 795 Specifications from the PDF: Overall length: 24’4’’ Overall length with options: 25’11’’ Hull length: 22’10” Overall beam: 9’2” Hull draft: 1’10 I didn’t find an LWL listed in the PDF, but the 22’10” is listed as the hull length and not LWL. I’ll admit, I have not measured these specs for myself, but I’m not seeing which part of the information I posted is inaccurate according to the published specs, so if you can provide clarification it would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron
