Is the bow pulpit of the SO 37 through bolted to the underside of the foredeck? I have a small leak there into the V berth.

Hiya,
I had this same problem on my previous SO37. It's likely leaking through the pullpit bolts, the aft ones with the nav light wires were worst. If you unscrew the wooden cover at the bow of the v-berth you'll be able to see some of the bolts, the rest should be visible from the cabin side (might be hiding behind liner.)
Remove/loosen the pulpit so that you can clean up the bases and then put a good "sausage" of butyl putty/tape around the bolt and then retighten.

Thanks for the reply. I have asked the question before but got no response. Looking forward to some warmer weather and we are all ready to hit the water.

Got it fixed this weekend. Had good access to the aft post of the bow pulpit by removing the panel in the forepeak that provides access to the Lofrans windlass. Incidentally the nuts on the bolts were very loose on both sides and there are no lock washers on them. You can't add a lock washer as there are the electric cables coming through the middle of the bolt. Anyway re-bedded them and they should be water tight now.
