So the floor in the v-berth gives when you step down on it. So much so it feels like it’s a matter of time before it cracks. Anyone else with a 795 notice the floor deflecting when you step down on it? Thanks, Fritz

So the floor in the v-berth gives when you step down on it. So much so it feels like it’s a matter of time before it cracks. Anyone else with a 795 notice the floor deflecting when you step down on it? Thanks, Fritz, In the place you show I dont remember noticing deflection. But there is some deflection. This did not make me unhappy but I took note of it. Covers of the two storage areas in the cabin and the one outside do deflect as you walk on them. For ımprovement and for easier cleaning we applied a new synthetic teak imported this year from New Zealand to cover completely the inside area. For outside we applied real teak. It makes a difference, but deflection is still there on the covers. During the early days of this month I checked 895 in the exhibition. 895 does not have storage areas in its floors as we have. However the deflection was noticable as you walk inside. The most disturbing problem for me is the water from anchor storage compartment sipping to the bow thruster area and the leak from the port side window to the seat. This happens when it rains or when we wash the boat. The distributer made two unsuccesful attempts to cut the water coming from the anchor area by asking France what to do. They said this happened to a few boats. One day they may solve my water problem. I am waiting. As for the electricity problems you mentioned this subject is my weakest point. A marine electrician came in and installed a 110 watt solar glass panel, a 500 watt inverter. For the inverter he said that if we go for more watts we had to make changes and put in an extra battery.

Thanks Ishan. I have this issue as well, "The most disturbing problem for me is the water from anchor storage compartment sipping to the bow thruster area". After a rough first trip it had a cups worth of water.

It's interesting that this is not an open area. The Beneteau Antares 23 twin of this boat has reinforced fiberglass edges with a removable plank to access he bilge in this area.

Still no word from the factory. I accidentally stepped down hard and it made a hell of cracking sound the other day.

You notice deflection on the nc895 floor, the twin bed is under, have you tried it with somebody on the bed to see it underneeth? Water intrusion to your bow thruster? Have you find from where exactly? Is bow thuster is self draining?

I was working in the area depicted in your photo and my big toe (I was barefoot at the time) went right through the gelcoat. I now have a toe-sized hole in the floor. It’s clear that there is a void between the fiberglass and the gelcoat for some reason. I’m trying to find someone to fix it now. The dealer said they would pay for it.

What they should have done is install a drain right there and one on the floor in the head too.

Have you find from where exactly? Is bow thruster is self draining? The water is in the pocket just froward of the bow thruster, there is no drain. With the help of Victor (Sundance tech) we were able to locate the leak. The starboard running light was not sealed properly. Jeanneau botched the install and there were extra holes under the light.

Which model boat do you have? I am still waiting to hear back from Jeanneau. Can you please post a picture?

At the moment I cannot find someone to fix the hole because it’s a small job. Still looking around. I’ve done gelcoat repair before in a previous boat so I might attempt to fix it myself.

Ouch, that is a serious quality issue. I would hold the dealer and Jeanneau accountable to fix that under warranty.
I am going to try to measure the deflection I am seeing.

The latest from the factory:
"Jeanneau has authorized having our technician add epoxy resin to the floor outside the stateroom head to fill it in. They said they have seen this before as a gap between the subfloor and the surface floor."
