Sorry for slow reply. I’m using Imgur. It has a desktop and App version allowing you to snap a pic on your phone, upload it to Imgur App and then paste link into message boards like this. And it uses https so works here. Finally found an easy way. It’s how I did the rigging failure article pics too.

Looks good, I have been experimenting too and plan to update the photo upload info soon. Have used Imgur for uploading the images to the recent 43DS rudder rebuild thread. jeanneau.proboards.com/thread/7792/construction-details-rudder

Dear Malcolm, Thank you so much for your research and guidance. I used Postimage and it works superb both on I-pad as on my laptop. Uploading is quite simple, making galleries and renaming is easy. The biggest plus vs Flick it that it gives all kind of formats for sharing, including a format required for this forum. So I recommend Postimage to all members of this forum! Harald

Harald Glad you got it working well It is frustrating that 23hq didn't upgrade to https - they haven't replied to my emails either. I am now spending all this unexpected free time trawling through all the old posts that have used 23hq in the past 3 years and editing so at least the link appears, so images can be seen after clicking. Depending on how long we are in lock down I will then start re-uploading the images onto a https server. there is just so much great information that people have contributed that I don't want to have it lost into the ether

My old post from 2013 still shows pictures that reside on a http host. Questions 1. When will the https restrictions become active? 2. Can i move my pictures to postimage and edit the old 2013 posts myself?

Hi Panoramix The https:// is already active, sorry there was no warning, it was something that Proboards as host implemented when all their forums were shifted to https:// Yes of course, you can edit your old post and save the existing images onto another image hosting platform, doesn't have to be Postimage, others are using Imgur and Flickr for example. If for any reason you have problems, let me know I will make the changes for you Malcolm

So somehow it doesn't matter if the pictures reside on a http host.

Interesting, they aren't showing up for me, maybe they are in your cache I am doing lots of updates anyway (plenty of time for some reason...) so happy to load them up if you want on https:
