Did anybody install a midship cleat on NC695? I think it will help a lot when you are docking olone!

Hi Andro, I don’t know of anyone who has added a midship cleat to their 695, but I added one to my 795 and it is one of the best additions to date. Makes docking much easier as I use the midship cleat 100% of the time. I’ll still use a spring line to the bow for longer term mooring or in rough weather, but for the most part I use the stern and midship cleats. I installed a pop-out cleat so to keep the walkway clear just outside the sliding windows so it’s also easy to add your line without having to leaving the cockpit.
Cheers, Ron

Thank you Capt'n Ron! As far as I know, 795 body structure is very similar to 695. Would you post some pictures of the cleat and the area where it is mounted? I think, what the most important thing is what is under the gunnel surface, is it strong enough to support a cleat? Can you reach the cleat from the helm window, or you reach it when you stay on cockpit? Some pictures will help me a lot!!! Thank you very much!
