I spent hours yesterday pulling off panels looking for a wiring pathway that would go from the engine bay to the 12v auxiliary switch in the instrument panel of our 42ds.
Has anyone found a solution? Appreciate any guidance.
Regards Wayne

Out of the factory, there is nothing connected. When commissioned, the company may use it. On ours, the AIS is hooked up to this switch

Mine was not used until I installed heating. The installation company did the wiring so no idea how they routed it I’m afraid! 😳

If what you are asking is how to run a wire from engine room to switchboanel, I have found that an electricians “fish” taped to a flexible small Bluetooth “endoscope type” camera has allowed be to place wires everywhere I needed to. My boat is a SO469 but routing might be similar. From engine room I had to head through battery area and aft cabin. Then behind hanging locker and galley cabinets. Sometimes removing the back of the cabinets helps.

Thanks everyone. I’m back at the boat today, so will see what I can come up with.
