About to change my Anchor light for a Dawn-to-Dusk automatic LED one. Does anyone know what connector is likely to be needed. I suspect a BAY15D with offset pins as most people say this is the popular type. I am trying to limit how many times I go up the mast!
I am being a little cautious with the tri-colour. I see so many where the LED colour temperature isn't correct and the green displays as blue. Also, to be honest I spend way more time at anchor than sailing at night so that is not a priority, and I know I can get a normal LED bulb at the chandlers but not a dawn-till-dusk one so I am taking that out with me on my next trip to the boat.
Note that there are BAY15D lamps for cars and BAY15D lamps for boats. They are incompatible despite looking the same. If you buy from boatlamps.co.uk/ you should be OK. But I think there is still a fairly high probability that the anchor light will be BA15S.
