I have a 2002 Merry Fisher 695 and I'm having trouble with keeping the sliding cabin door locked. She is moored on a tidal river and with the movement and vibration of the moving water the lock unlocks itself. It appears to be a bad design as the internal catch locks upwards so I am guessing that after time it has got a bit slack and simply drops open. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you remedy it?

Hi not sure if its to late but I had the same problem on my Prestige 32 and the internal spring had broken allowing the catch to drop down. The only solution was to buy a complete new unit fron Jeanneau via my local agent. Very pricey.

I have had mine vibrate to the lock position while inside the cabin. I wasn't able to get it to unlock from the inside. Climbed out via the v-berth to unlock it. Safety issue? Cheap lock?
