Hello Cap Camarat owners, I have just signed up for a new CAP Camarat 9.0WA to be delivered spring 2020. Anyone to be the lucky owner, and able to post some experiences with this model? I just sold my 40 feet sailboat, and will now continue my life along the coast powered by two outboards. Best of all,....my wife seems to be happy too.

Hello, I just purchased a 2018 (I am the first owner) Cap Camarat 8.5 WA called a Leader 8.5 in North America. It is rigged with 200 hp x 2 4 cycle 4 cylinder Yamahas. I am very excited to own this boat as it is well equipped.
I am looking to do 2-3 immediate upgrades
1. Has anyone tried to put a fiberglass T-Top similar to the new 9.0 WA (Atlantic towers in New jersey has one) ?
2. I was looking at putting AC in the cuddy cabin (about 4500-6000 btu). I would like to put on shore power and lithium battery and avoid CO risk of genset.
3. Yamaha helm-master?
If so any advise would be great appreciated. If in the states drop me a line.
Cheers, Marc Bosem

I just sold my 40 feet sailboat, and will now continue my life along the coast powered by two outboards. Best of all,....my wife seems to be happy too. Hi Coastwise It looks to be a good boat. What waters will you be cruising? Having originally considered moving up from a 6.5 Mtr day sailer to a coastal sailer I instead turned to the dark side and also ordered a 9.0 WA with 2 x 250 Yamaha’s. I broke my rule on not becoming an early adopter and indulged in adding the Helm Master Joystick control system to my boats spec which I believe to be a first on this model. The boat is now due for delivery and commissioning and I will be happy to keep you posted on my future ownership experience. In case it’s of any interest or future help I outline my predelivery experience so far ; Having put my deposit down last Year My dealer recently sent me an expected schedule saying that the boat was expected to leave Jeanneau by 3rd May and be with them for engine fitting and commissioning by last Friday ( 10/05/20 ). Not having heard anything by last Friday I chased the dealer who confirmed my concern that it hadn’t arrived but couldn’t elaborate. He then phoned Jeanneau who confirmed the boat had been completed but couldn’t say where it was. As I write this my plans are on hold until I’m told where my boat is ! I appreciate I was given ‘ expected dates ‘ but would have liked more communication as I’m having to arrange my diary around what I’m hoping will be a very exciting experience.

Hi Wingco, Thanks for info. I hope that your dealer follow up, and that the delivery will be on time to meet the summer. I have twin Yamaha 250's in my order too, and the dealer expect the boat early in 2020. I plan to cruise the costal waters in Scandinavia, and most on the coast of Norway. I will fit the boat here in Norway with a winch in the stern in adition to the one in the bow, and a heater for the cabin to dry it out on rainy days. What kind of nav equipment did you order?
Rgds Karl 😎

Anybody who knows if the new factorymounted searchlights with remote are equipped with led bulbs? I am waiting for the delivery of my new Cap Camarat 9Wa with aluminum T-top end of this year, the search light is on the list, but led or conventional bulb is not described.

I am waiting to get a heater, and a rear anchorwinch installed, and hopefully the boat will be ready for the sea in april. I am eager to check out the performance with the twin Yamaha engines, and my plan is to do trips on the Norwegian and the coast in Sweden the summer of 2020. Karl

Hi All,
I have just been informed by my dealer that the delivery of my Cap Camarat 9 WA is late and it is now expected between the 1st and the 2nd week of June due to the factory closure in response to the Covid emergency. Anyone else in the same situation? I must say that communication from Jeanneau was pretty poor. I had to chase them to get info. Cheers

Hi, My boat came to Norway in oktober 2019, and I have had a few test runs already. I have twin Yamaha 250ˋs, and the boat is handling very well. It does 47-48 knots at FT, and it is fitted with an 19 Inch propeller still giving it a good acceleration. Cruising between 3600-3800 RPM gives 27-28 knots , and fuel flow around 66-70 liters/hr. IT burns then 2.5-3.0 L pr. NM. You must slow down below 1500RPM, to match this fuel use pr.nm., and this gives me around 5-6 knots of boatspeed.

Hi, I too have ordered a Cap Camarat 9 Wa in Italy that should have been delivered between the end of May and the beginning of June, to date I don’t yet have a definitive date! I’m desperate! Was it delivered to you? Did the boat comply with what was ordered? Here, in Italy, many boats arrive incomplete!!? Regards

Hi,
My boat came to Norway with all the ordered equipment, and the search light has a 100W conventional bulb. I just passed
62 hours running time on the engines, and I get just above 46 knots at FTP.

Hi,
Just reopening this thread, I ordered a 9.0CC at the beginning of this year with a proposed delivery date of October 2021, about 4 months ago I was contacted by my sales agent to advise of significant delays due to Covid and now it will be March 2022 expected delivery.
Over the past few months I have tried to get a confirmed date through the agent but can get nothing concrete, is this they way Jeanneau operate or is my agent not up to scratch?

Hi,
I think the delivery problems are afecting the whole boat marked. I was told that the equipment mounted on the boats is the problem, such as outboard engines, windows, seats, etc. They can deliver hulls, but with lack of equipment the hull is useless for the customer. My Cap Camarat 9WA arrived in Norway oktober 2019, and it was not affected by the corona pandemic. In 2020 I had 95 hrs giving me just above 700 NM, and last summer just above 50 hrs. I have two 250 hp Yamaha outboards pushing it just above 45 kts with 19 inch props, and I am satisfied with the performance. Fuel consumption in cruise (28-30 knots, 3700-3900 RPM) is arround 2,7-2,9 liters/NM. I think this is the speed giving the best economi on cruise, unless you will slow down all the way to 6-8 knots and 1300-1500 RPM. My Cap Camarat is equiped with the Zip Wake trim system, and I run that in auto mode all the time helping to balance the boat.
