Just Hi from my family and I. New sailors though I spent 10 years or so, couple of weeks a year on the STA Schooners and Brigs in the UK from about 1988 to 1998 as Watch Leader - great times. So we have just bought a 2002 SO43DS. Needs to be loved again but has great bones. Looking to hone skills, and get out on water with kids for cruising holidays etc.

There are lots of ideas on our Hints and Tips sections eg: www.jeanneau-owners.com/hintsandtipsindexsafety.html but also of course ask if you want any second, third or fourth opinions....do load up some photos too on our gallery www.jeanneau-owners.com/photogallery.htmlYou may well have already found this but there are sevral tips on getting best use of this forum here: jeanneau.proboards.com/board/9/use-forumLooking forward to hearing more about your adventures

Hi colinnz,
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on obtaining such a capable yacht. Now is an exciting time as you get to know her and the family gets used to spending time on the water. You have access to some very knowledgeable owners of 43DS yachts here.
Good luck with it,
Regards,
Trevor

Congratulations indeed.
There is something about the 43DS that defies description. I think you will enjoy your time aboard.

Hi Colin
Welcome, good choice & good luck! We are also DS owners (42) berthed in Gulf Harbour - C pier. Where are you?
Have a v good friend on D pier with a 43DS so there are a few of us around.
Hopefully see you out there some time!
Cheers

Well done! We are fellow DS43 owners and are in Wellington. We love our DS43 and spend a lot of family holidays on it in the sounds.
