Whilst there is now a surfeit of weather resources on the web, sometimes it is hard to actually find really great sources of qualified information. In case you have not seen it already, I can recommend this one - The Weather Window by Frank Singleton. Yes Malcolm, Frank is a great guy, I met him in 2010 while sailing up the Guadiana river he was sailing his Hallberg Rassy 34 (I think).
The year before I brushed up on his crossing Biscay page before we left Brest for La Corona, and ever since have read and learnt much from his website.

Yes indeed, good and knowledgeable guy and does now sail an HR, we met him 3 years ago I think, on the Vilaine river Brittany, where I think he is now based
