Hi all.
Until today I have been annoyed about a wind vane on the mast top which is not visible at night.
I have never thought a lamp on top that shines into the sky to be really effective.
The idea for direct direction indication at night is now finally possible by new technology.
The wind vane still rotates freely, there are no sliding contacts or the like.
The current, here our on-board power supply 12 Volt, is transferred inductively to the upper ring.
The whole thing is waterproof.
The plastic modules can still be described as prototypes, the electronics are ready for series production. Whether I let the plastic modules go into series depends on the extent to which there is interest in an illuminated wind vane.
The whole thing is connected, simply via the top lighting.
If the Nav lighting is on, then also the wind vane with your LED´s is switched on.
Two blue ones for the direction determination, one red one for the rejecting side.
I will set a vid on Youtube.
Resonance requested !
