Hi everyone, This is a plea for help to solve a mystery. We have a 45.2, and seem to be getting air into the fresh water system. This is preventing pressure building up in the pressure tank, which affects the water flow. We've checked and serviced the pump, which didn't solve the problem. There are no obvious water leaks from the tank to the pump, so we're mystified. Has anyone got any suggestions? Thanks, Stephen on Giverny2

Hi Stephen,
I can't imagine an air leak without the system loosing pressure and then the pump starting. I would have thought the result of that would be a water leak. I had a system with a slow leak on a power boat once and it would intermittently run the pump for a couple of seconds at half hour intervals through the night. It used to drive me crazy until I fixed it!
Does the system leak any water?
Trevor

We spent 2 months on our SO 37 trying to find the source of an air leak. We tightened all the fittings, checked every connection. We finally replaced the water pump and the problem was resolved. The pump that had been introducing the air had appeared normal in every way, but once replaced, the problem was gone.

Try checking the fliter if it's anything like the problem I'm having with the fresh water pump and filter on my SO39. Then first time the fliter cracked and the only indication was the pump drawing in air. It took us quite a while to find out what the problem was as the crack was not obvious.
