Hi, just curiosity, who is in MEDITERRANEAN sea and in particular where are you? Which are your project for the next summer season?
I am in Italy, based in Lavagna (nearby Portofino and 5 terre), if someone arrives there please shout! Next July I should transfer my boat to Naples and in August start the trip to come back sailing to the main Italian islands.

I am based in Malta. This year I have a whole month off (end July) and am still dreaming on where to go.
Probably round Sicily - Sardinia and then south west Italy back down to Malta.

I sailing from MED France to Greece from 21-JUN to somewhere in AUG
around 9th of JUL I should be around Livorno to change crew for the second leg - plan is slow coastal hopping...

No marina around..... the alternative is MARINA DI PISA linked with PISA.... if you go south, CALA DE MEDICI, is not cheap but really wonderful!

Dear Vasko.... anywhere.... on the west coast I can suggest Sanremo, Impera (really cheap), Varazze (expensive). but from French coast I would suggest you to cut Genoa Gulf and go directly to Portofino (good ancorage in the bay, Santamargherita (good ancorage just outside the harbour still in the bay), Lavagna (only harbour) Sestri Levante (good ancorage in the bay just outside the harbour, pay attention because you have to remain OUT from the red signals), VErnazza to be used only in case of flat sea, there are some white signals you can take but please before read the web of PARCO DELLE 5 TERRE web site for any news), than La SPEZIA Le GRAIE bay or just in front of Portovenere. From there to PISA no bay nor harbour available till Marina di Pisa, but are around 30 miles, probably less.

Dear Vasko, going down you have San Vincenzo harbour which I Raccomand, then Baratti gulf where you can anchor, the whole ELBA island ( almost impossible to find place in any harbour during summer but very nice bays to anchor. Punta Ala harbour a fashionable place with a nice marina, than...... a lot!

We will spend about 2-4 weeks in Cyprus and I guess it is about then that I need to try and make arrangements for a berth for the winter or should I start sooner?

Hi Chucker, I will be able to arrange this right before your trip to Israel. I suggest that you contact me by mail ( alexdanciger@gmail.com) when you arrive Cyprus. No need for very early search. I will be more than glad to help.
