Us again! Okay problem for this week is the ST4000+ Autohelm that came with the boat is not steering the boat on a straight course, it keeps snaking back and forward. After talking to many technical Raymarine reps and others it seems that the unit is stuffed. To replace the ST4000+ now retired, we would have to purchase a Raymarine S1 which comes with a rudder sensor attachment, that needs to be placed on the quadrant. However the space is limited and the quadrant is circular not allowing for a plate to attach the rudder sensor to. Does anyone else have any experience with replacing or placing a Raymarine S1 onto an SO 37??? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. The new X5 by Raymarine is not due out here on the West Coast of USA until June and we need to be on passage by mid April to French Polynesia. Thanks in advance

I have the S1 on my Sunfast 35. Same back end, you have access through the aft cabin to the sugar scoop? I will be on the boat this weekend, can take a pic of the rudder sensor if you want?
