Well after a very long winter wait our SO39i has exited the Cholet Factory and has now arrived at Burnham UK ;D
There are a few photos, along with other 39i's at: goo.gl/photos/bJBMPmaCpEQrmp848
Unlike our previous SO34.2, I have opted to have the factory fit most of the extras this time, so she is already fitted with a Max-Power bowthruster, autopilot & heating
The main extras we are having fitted during commissioning are the radar scanner (on Scanstrut pole) and a CopperCoat antifoul system - this will not violate the Jeanneau Warranty , indeed there will be 2 extra coats of epoxy applied before the copper granules to make sure the copper does not fall off
We are having another Autoprop, but this time the 3 blade, looking at the size of the standard Radice fixed 3 blade I am sure this will make a significance difference in sailing speed again
We have only been down to the boat once so far (she is now out of bounds in the yard shed) but have agreed where to put the 2" hole for the IonGuard anode - this will be about 18" aft of the prop and allows the unit to be installed through the hull directly, without needing to worry about cutting through the inner molding as well
There are still 1001 things to sort out and this weekend we have been cleaning up gear like the liferaft, and sorting out the Dinghy and have just received the name graphics
It took quite along while getting all the paperwork sorted out for the Radio License, SSR registration, insurance, RYA sail number, EPiRB re-register etc, but think we are getting somewhere close to finishing
Hope to be sailing by Easter ;D
