Hello, my 3 years old SO 35 has the left windows that started leaking. Is there anybody experincing the same problem? Do I need to change the windows or can I reinstall the same windows? What about the guarantee from Jeanneau..or my so is too old!?
Thank you for your answers
ciao Francesco

The starboard window on my SO32 is leaking. The dealer has confirmed that this is covered by the warranty, and we are in discussions about how to repair. An earlier repair was not successful, and it may be that the window has to be removed. Apparently this isn't an easy job, and you need to be a confident handyman to take this on yourself. The risk of breaking the window is quite high.

I have a new Jeanneau 36i which we had on port tack for several hours a month ago. The starboard saloon portlight leaked a very small amount (just enough to slightly dampen the curtain) on that trip. I am not motivated to mention it to the agent for fear that the repair may be worse than the minor fault. We will just keep an eye on it and fix it if it becomes a big problem.
Regards,
Trevor

Similar problem on my 2005 SO35 persisted after local yard replacement failed so eventually Autoglass sorted! I was advised that windows need to be replaced rather than refitted but I guess that depends on how much struggling with a cheese wire needed to get them out. It is an annoying fault but it can be solved. Your Jeanneau Agent should be helpful. Good luck!
