Today i made some baskets in the fridge and in the process i stuck my head in the fridge. I then discovered that there was a open space at the top of the inner shell. Only the easy accesible part of this rim was sealed with some kind of sikaflex/silicone?
After seeing this i suspect some cold is leaking away thru this open rim. I would like to seal this. On the other hand it seems that the space is just hollow and not filled with any insulation material.
Does any of you know how the fridge is constructed on jeanneau? (specific for SO37 or may be they are constructed all alike) Is it very well insulated? Can it be improved?
My wife and i have just become live aboards. Our plans are to sail from Europe to the Caribean this year, so an energy friendly fridge would be welcome.
