Hello, We're on the same page here. I've just purchased a 2005 SO 37 and would also like to convert to LED (including nav lights). I am sure one can buy LED bulbs and fit directly into existing 12 or 24v dc system. If I hear or find out more I'll let you know and presumably vice versa.

Hi I am putting a Lopolight at the top of the mast for my new SO36i try going here www.lopolight.com/ they are quite expensive (in the UK) although I got it for the same price as the States when I went to a chandlers and explained the situation. I will also be swapping to LED inside the boat during the year. I will be trying the Sollight try here www.sollight.co.uk/Good luck. BRGDS. Geoff. ;D

Hi, i have justed added LED lights in my SO 37. In my case i drilled new holes next to the existing ones and i can switch between LED and standard. For your question; you can replace simply the lights with the LED. The size and depth is exactly the same. For the LED you only have to watch out for the positive and negative connections. In my SO 37 negative is the blue wire. The LED armatures are available from NIIKULED at www.niikuled.com/ at € 17 a piece. You can see how i have done it on my website www.panoramixopzee.nl/projecten.html#LED I also replaced the navigation lights with the 2nm NaviLeds from Hella. These are completely watertight and should last a lifetime. € 68 a piece. Stern, port and starboard say € 200 . Hope this helps

Hi Guys
I have now received my Sollights and even though we have hardly any sun here at the moment, they all charged on the office window!!.
The light from them will be more that enough to read by and they do come on when the photo cell senses darkness....looking forward to putting them on the boat.
BRGDs.
Geoff.
