I've recently bought a 1998 Jeanneau DS. Many of the main salon curtain rings (ie the white plastic curtain rings which hang down from the metal curtain pole)are missing. The other problem is that even if I found the white plastic curtain rings, I can't find a way of slotting them on to the curtain poles as there seems to be no way of getting the curtain poles down!
Does anyone know (a) are the poles removable in any way (we can't seem to remove ours without dismantling the entire boat interior) and (b) does anyone know where I can buy the little plastic curtain rings?
Next problem: we are missing several white plastic studs which fasten the curtains to the boat interior in our heads! Anyone know where to find these?
Endless trips to chandlers, haberdashers and sail makers/interior fitters, etc, has not solved our problem, and nobody has any idea how to remove the curtain poles either!
Are there ANY 1998 Jeanneau DS owners out there who know what I'm talking about and can help?

I am not sure where you are located, but here in the states, I would look at a bed and bath shop for the rings, or a place like "restoration Hardware" macy's, even target etc. While you may not find something that matches, yoy may find something that looks the same, or better, and just replace them all. As usually if one fails the others are on the way!
The curtain, while it may not screw on or equal from looking at it, it may be a lift up, or slide to the right or left to remove, then behind the fitting/part you see, is the part that is attached per say to the wall. There might also be a little allen screw on the bottom holding the fitting to the backing plate.
Does the pole go thru the holder? if so, you may have to unscrew the ball or equal on the outside to pull the rod thru the other direction.
I have found ALL the above on my 85 Arcadia while redoing the cabin/head etc on it.
Good luck. marty

Don't know what you 40 DS Curtain rods look like but if they are anything like a 2002 43DS then there is a short post that the rod goes through which is held on with an allen set screw that tightens down to the rod along with another that tightens the post to a screw stud. Might small allen and hard to see if you are half blind like me without my glasses. Once you undo the set screw from the post and loosen the set screws holding the rod the whole apparatus should come apart.
Hope this helps.
