I just purchased a 2008 36i. How do I unfurl and furl the main sail properly? There are 3 lines that I see - inhaul, outhaul and a loop the connects to the mechanism on the mast which faces the cockpit.

Tupelo, regret you have not yet had a reply. Your mainsail outhaul and furling lines should be on each side of cockpit/companionway and held in place by line clutches. Start by opening the line clutches for outhaul and furling lines (should be 3 locking clutches). Than pull the mainsail outhaul line and note the way the mainsail furling line on other side runs out. Perhaps start by opening/unfurling the main by 1/3 to 1/2 than stop. Now go to furling line that goes around mast winch and that was running out of cockpit and pull in. This should than pull mainsail back into mast. Hope this will get you started. When furling your main in this manner keep a little tension on the out- haul line when furling/pulling the mainsail back into mast. Enjoy your new Sail!
